Poor visibility, heavy snow, freezing temps and closed roads apparently won't stop me from getting to Crater Lake. I packed my camera, put on some snowshoes and hiked to the top where the clouds broke just enough for me to see some of the features of this beautiful spot. The top image is a panoramic where it's snowing on the left and almost sunny on the right.
London Calling
What a great city to shoot in and around. These are some touristy shots of parliament, big ben and the eye.
Arenal, Costa Rica
Costa Rica is one of my favorite places on the planet. You can hike near a volcano in lush cloud forests, dip a toe in hot springs, zip line the tree tops with monkeys, scuba dive or just lay on the pristine beaches of Manuel Antonio. It's beautiful here and that's just the west coast.
Venice
The city on the water, slowly sinking and flooding. I got a clear dry day for wandering, people watching, street food and gelato.
NY NY
My home town. I grew up just north of the city and every time my feet touch the ground here it feels like home. These shots are the same ones everyone takes from the top of the empire state building except I used film. That's right film. Flawed, light leaked, amazingly imperfect film.
Denali National Park & Preserve
The trip through Denali National Park in the heart of Alaska is a grueling one. One dusty 91 mile road only open to park vehicles and specially permitted cars leading you on an amazing trail of breathtaking landscapes and wildlife. On a good day you get fantastic views of snow capped Mount McKinley the highest peak in North America. Luckily I had a good day. There was even a helicopter ride to a nearby glacier. What an amazing experience.
