Instant film isn't exactly instant. Once its exposed and expelled through the rollers, spreading the caustic jelly a magical thing happens. Over the next twenty minutes an irreversible chain reaction of light and chemicals slowly turns the blank canvas into an image. Recently I rediscovered this artsy, scientific voodoo on a work road trip. I shot one packet of impossible 600polaroid film, 8 shots to tell a story. The result were muted colors and stark landscapes that mean the world to me. My inner hipster just celebrated a little with some PBR.
Faux Fall
My first California Fall. I'm looking forward to the mid 70's and sunny weather. In honor of that awesomeness here are some edits from one of my latest shoots. Faux fur lined vests and scarfs are just the right cover up for those dreamy Cali days. ;-)
London Calling
What a great city to shoot in and around. These are some touristy shots of parliament, big ben and the eye.
Chinatown Orbs
Having some fun during down time with a wide angle lens. I hope you enjoy San Francisco's Chinatown through a slightly different perspective.
Stop and smell the flowers
You've got to stop and smell the roses. What a great day when those roses come to you during a shoot. Here are some of my latest beauty shots with a wonderful flower wall. The studio smelled so great that day!
Working it.
There's nothing I like more than getting out and taking pictures. Check out the latest athletic shoot I did in the forest around Sutro mountain.

Muir Forest
Need to get out of San Francisco and into some green? Then you can't beat Muir Forest National Park. Less then 20 miles in the car and you're brushing shoulders with giant redwoods and beautiful easy trails.

Akola "To Work"
Being a photographer often leads me to very interesting people and places, Akola is a perfect example. This non profit based in Dallas sells vibrant necklaces and jewelry. All the profits go to the amazing women and families in Uganda who make them out of recycled materials. It's great to see a local business work so hard to empower and give an avenue for women to provide for their families. It was great meeting the Dallas team and watching them work check out their stuff at http://akolaproject.org/ The Container Store provided the shelving to keep this cool company organized.
